Event Description:

If you are looking for a night full of pleasant experiences, can attend with your friends to Sala Garbo, founded in 1977, specializes in independent film and is a member of Europa Cinema.

With its programming Cinearte Garbo brings us next Monday, February 18, starting at 07:00 p.m. the french film “Le Dîner de Cons”, written and directed by Francis Veber.

In this 1998 film, a group of wealthy friends plan weekly dinners to have fun, each bringing a fool he knows to talk about his past. Each member competes to bring the stupidest. One of them, Pierre (Thierry Lhermitte) who is editor, meets a stupid but very kind man, François Pignon (Jacques Villeret). Pierre plans to make fun of him, but turns out to be the only person who stayed by his side when his world begins to wobble.

Our director, Francis Veber, of french origin with armenian descent born in 1937, is also known for his work in The Fugitives (Les Fugitifs), in which the actors Pierre Richard, Gérard Depardieu and Jean Carmet participate. He has been a jury member of Cannes Festival, participated in script of american film The Birdcage, starring Robin Williams, and 12 of his films have versions in Hollywood studios, including this, that in 2010 it was covered as “Dinner for Schmucks” with actors Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd.
