The Institute of Mexico presents “Sones and Huapangos of Mexico and Central America: Concierto commented”, for people of all ages to approach, on February 19, from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. At 5:00 pm there will be a talk about art and decolonization, with Ernesto Anaya, from Mexico; Guadalupe Urbina, Manuel Monestel and Zuiri Méndez.
And at 6:30 pm they will be able to enjoy the concert, under the voices of Ernesto Anaya and Manolo Montenegro, in the company of great musicians: Oscar Jiménez, Charly Picado, Donny Rivas, Karol Barboza and Berenice.

For more than 30 years, Ernesto Anaya has maintained his position as one of the greatest musicians in Mexico, with a deep understanding of the traditional and rural roots in diverse genres of Mexican music. Develops a deepening with respect to the Huastec music, managing to combine the operatic technique with that style. His gift for using his voice expressing emotions and feelings, to exalt and strip his soul with his falsetto, is unparalleled. He is an interpreter of more than thirty string, breath and percussion instruments.
