We are experiencing an environmental crisis and on repeated occasions the United Nations Organization (UN) has called for immediate action.
The young generations of this country are truly worried; The future of the planet is committed to this growing problem. Although we are already living the consequences, there is still time to change.
In this context, the “Green Sunday Costa Rica” youth student movement was born with the initiative of organizing the first national environmental march supporting the efforts that different organizations of this nature have been driving intensely for decades in Costa Rica.
The meeting will be on Sunday, August 18 at 10:00 A.M., in the Statue of León Cortés, marching along the Paseo Colón and the Second Avenue to the Plaza de la Democracia; where the big closure will take place with different activities. It will be a peaceful movement of which we are all invited to be a part.
The main idea is to raise awareness among the Costa Rican population about the environmental and social crisis we are experiencing. Thus motivating the different government entities to take actions and act forcefully, placing environmental issues as a national priority.
While we are pioneers in these issues, there is still a lot of work to do. Let’s demonstrate our commitment and ability to remain global environmental leaders.
